The Dusky Conure (Aratinga weddellii, sometimes called Dusky Headed Conure or Weddell’s Conure) is a member of the Aratinga genus, which also includes the much louder Sun Conure and Jenday Conure. The single clearest difference at a glance is the tail. A Green Cheek has a distinct maroon or dark red tail. A Dusky has a green tail with subtle blue tips on the outer flight feathers.
