Alexandrine

The Alexandrine Parakeet is the largest member of the Psittacula family — named after Alexander the Great, who reportedly introduced this species to Europe from India. Its beautiful green plumage, distinctive red shoulder patch, and the striking pink-black neck ring that develops in adult males give it a genuinely majestic appearance. Alexandrines are calmer and more even-tempered than Indian Ringnecks while sharing the same exceptional talking ability. A bird of real presence and substance for the serious parrot owner.
