About This Bird
The Green Wing Macaw is the largest of the true Ara macaws, and despite its impressive size, it is known as the “gentle giant” of the macaw world. Deep crimson red, vibrant green wings, and brilliant blue tail feathers make this one of the most majestic birds in aviculture. In temperament, Green Wings are calmer and more even-keeled than many other large macaws, making them one of the most manageable large parrot species for dedicated owners.
